2010 Mitsubishi Pajero SUV receives more powerful diesel engine
Mitsubishi of European has released the 2010 Pajero SUV. Mitsubishi Pajero is also known as the Shogun and the Montero in some markets in Europe. The 2010 Pajero comes with higher performance engine, more efficient, greener, a new 5-speed automatic transmission, new higher space interior and a few changes on exterior.
The 2010 Pajero SUV is more powerful as the company has new engine for this SUV, 3.2-liter turbo diesel engine producing 200HP and 441Nm or 325 lb-ft of torque as opposed the previous 160HP and 381Nm engine.
The engine is more efficient and greener than the outgoing model. Specifically, the combined consumption of the Pajero 3-door with a 5-speed manual gearbox has been reduced from 9.2 to 8.5 lt/100km while the C02 emissions are reduced from 244g/km to 224g/km. The Pajero 5-door with the new automatic transmission eats 9.6 lt for 100km compared to the previous 10.6lt/100km.
The interior capacity of the 2010 Pajero has been increased from 2,800kg to 3,000kg for the three-door model and from 3,300kg to 3,500 kg for the five-door version. The interior is also equipped with newand an upgraded version of Mitsubishi’s Multi Communication System (MMCS) with a disk capacity of 40GB. It is also more comfortable inside as well as additional insulation that help reduce noise levels.
On exterior, there are new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheel designs and a thicker windshield.
