Lexus LF-A to hit Nurburgring 24 Hours Race
Lexus will also be at Nurburgring 24 Hours Race in Germany. The Japanese carmaker has been prepared for all. The race car will be Lexus LF-A prototype that will hit Nurburgring on May 23 and though practice will start May 21.
The Nurburgring 24 Hours Race will be also used as a tester for Lexus LF-A. The Toyota Group is going to use the day-long race track to evaluate the LF-A’s engine, chassis and all technical specs capability on the high tension condition.
Lexus LF-A prototype will be armed with a 4.8L V10 engine producing over 492hp (367kW) in the Division 2 SP8 class for near-production engines. The front-mid engine car uses rear-mid transaxle with rear radiator with a paddle-shifted manual transmission. The other features accompany the engine include a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) body shell and fours 20in wheel wrapped in 305/30 Bridgestone racing rubber.
