2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee revealed

Chrysler has revealed the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee at this year New York Auto Show. As its name the SUV will not hit the market until the next year as 2011 model. Its mission is bringing the company’s first car with flexible fuel 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine in addition to the rest a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque at 4,250 rpm. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine comes with Variable-Valve Timing and makes 280 hp of power and 260 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm while the HEMI engine comes with VVT and fuel-saving Multi-displacement System (MDS) technology with dual exhaust to maximize efficiency.

Torsional stiffness is 146 percent more than the current Grand Cherokee and stiffer than the BMW X5 and Toyota Highlander, according to Chrysler.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee features Quadra-Lift air suspension system, new Selec-Terrain systemn, new front and rear independent suspension systems, 17″ wheels (optional 18″ and 20″ ). The other important important features include SIRIUS Travel Link, offering up-to-the minute information about gas prices, weather conditions, sports scores and movie listings. In addition, the all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee features SIRIUS Traffic, which monitors traffic in 78 markets across the U.S.

Standard safety features includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), four-wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with rough-road detection, and the four-wheel Brake Traction Control System (BTCS).

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with 5.3 inches longer and better material inside than the previous. More details in the press release below after the jump.
