AmphiCoach GTS-1, World’s First Amphibious Passenger Vehicle
AmphiCoach GTS-1 is world first amphibious passenger vehicle. The amphibious bus is developed by Maltese company. It will be go into production line this year after 3 years development. The company confirmed that twelve of AmphiCoach GTS-1 has been ordered. Pricing for AmphiCoach GTS-1 has been set at £280,000 in the UK.
AmphiCoach GTS-1 is powered by a choice of two diesel engines along with two- or four-wheel drive. The engine features a jet drive unit to power the bus and a one-off wheel retraction system that allows the coach to travel up to eight knots. It’s body is made from marine grade aluminum for light weight and superior strength. AmphiCoach GTS-1 comes in left- or right-hand drive, and passed the all of the relevant E.U. noise and emission regulations.
AmphiCoach GTS-1’s inside is a bus. There are 50 seats, LCD screens, DVD players and PA systems, along with all standard safety equipment.
